Chacal-3d is a small, fun game where two players run round and shoot at each other on the same screen, (playing on the same computer !) in a 3D environment (similar to ID Software’s 3D Wolfstein action game (same ‘raycasting’ method algorithm)). The game is rather like a multiplayer DOOM and features include: orthogonal walls, texture mapping of the walls and grounds, a split screen showing both players at once, possibility of creating your own maps (using a simple ASCII editor), possibility of using your own background textures for walls and grounds. You can choose to play by day, by night, or in the fog and there are 4 DOOM style weapons (gun, rifle, rocket, plasma)…..
