Speech FX is designed to make the Speech Recognition software on your computer more useful. When Apple developed Speech Recognition they created a software package with a lot of potential. The only thing it lacked was commands. Speech Recognition as Apple distributes it does not include very many commands. The commands that they do include are very crude and were designed just to show off the new technology.
SpeechFX is an ongoing project to change that. It adds new functions to Speech Recognition turning Speech Recognition into a tool (not just a toy).
Imagine an office where you can be writing a letter and telling your computer to open the email. When you put your pen down the email is already open. This was once a dream but now it is becoming a reality.
