The Apache HTTP Server Project is a collaborative software development effort aimed at creating a robust, commercial-grade, feature filled, and freely-available source code implementation of an HTTP (Web) server.
The project provides a secure, efficient and extensible server that provides HTTP services in sync with the current HTTP standards.
This new release represents ten years of innovation by the project, and is recommended over all previous releases. In particular, this release fixes a few potential security vulnerabilites.
