The K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of DirectShow filters, VFW/ACM codecs, and tools. Codecs and DirectShow filters for encoding and decoding of audio and video files are included.

The K-Lite Codec Pack is a user-friendly solution with which you can play back many multimedia files.

It is available in four versions:

• The basic package contains codecs to play the most widely used video formats. These include AVI, MKV, MP4, OGM, and FLV.
• The standard version adds Media Player Classic and better support for DVD playback.
• The full version offers additional features such as playing lossless audio formats. In addition, it contains VFW/ACM codecs that can be used for encoding. It also offers support for more audio and video formats.
• K-Lite Mega has almost all versions of most codecs, and in addition contains more DirectShow filters and VFW/ACM codecs.

A 64-bit version is also available.
