TweetDeck is a social media dashboard for Twitter. Tweets, messages, and users can be sorted in real time, divided into groups and browsed.
The tool was originally developed by Iain Dodsworth, who later sold the program to Twitter. In December 2011 Twitter entirely revamped the software, changing from an Adobe AIR application to a native Windows and Mac OS X application, as well as introducing a web version for WebKit-based browsers. The update dropped support for LinkedIn, Google Buzz, Foursquare and MySpace accounts.
In March 2013 TweetDeck announced mobile versions would be suspended so that development efforts could be focused on web-based versions.
