Acme Movers is a utility designed to supplement the Finder and provide an alternative interface for moving or copying files from one location to another on any mounted volumes.
Regardless of whether the source file or folder and the destination folder are on the same volume or different mounted volumes, you have a choice of moving the source (leaving only one copy of it at the destination), copying the source (leaving the source where it is and making a copy of it at the destination) or moving the source and creating an alias to its new location at its old location. If the destination already contains an item with the same name as the source item, Acme Movers offers you a choice of replacing the item or renaming either the source or the destination item.
