Automatically find and download files from news server(s).
When using PixNews2000, the user creates Downloader windows then simply enters in the addresses of the news servers along with various preferences and scans to search and automatically download files.
Numerous settings are available so that you get the files you want, rather than those you don’t : Files that have been downloaded in pieces in several sessions or days are automatically reconstituted, you can create several Downloaders operating simultaneously, each connected to a different news server – or you can make several Downloaders for a single news server where each Downloader holds a related set of newsgroups. Downloading can be scheduled and the user can use keywords or specify types of files to be found (or avoided). A tool for viewing images is included. Note : PixNews2000 was developed before the yEnc method of encoding files, and therefore it cannot download the majority of files posted today.
